The 18th Annual Under the Oaks Art Festival is a two day outdoor juried art show with a variety of artists on the grounds of Historic Corolla Park at Whalehead, Tuesday & Wednesday, June 18th & 19th from 10 am – 5 pm.  This festival features the unique talents of over 50 quality artists with a wide array of creations in painting, pottery, jewelry, mixed media, photography, woodwork, glass, metal, fiber art plus local food concessions, and a silent art auction that benefits Whalehead.

Duck Annual 4th of July Parade and Community Celebration

The one-mile parade route is the same annually and begins at the crest of the hill on Scarborough Lane. The route follows Scarborough Lane towards the ocean, turns left onto Ocean Way, and then heads down Christopher Drive ending at Pamela Court. No part of the parade takes place on Duck Road (NC 12).

Pirates of the Outer Banks and their friends will be camped out at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing. Come learn the vast history of pirates on the OBX, and participate in Scalawag school for the little ones to see if they have what it take to be a part of Blackbeards’ Crew!

Mustang Rock and Roast

Presented by Currituck Travel and Tourism, the 2nd Annual Mustang Rock and Roast will take place at Mike Dianna’s Grill Room in Corolla on October 19 & 20, 2019  

The event will feature two fun culinary events: a BBQ Cook Off on Saturday, October 19th and an Oyster Roast on Sunday, October 20th. There will be two stages of nonstop live music from 2pm - 10pm each day that will feature at least 12 national, regional and local performers throughout the weekend.
