The Black Stallion offers over 20,000 square feet of living space, along with beautifully landscaped grounds, spacious decks, and spectacular pool facilities. There is no other home in the Outer Banks that matches The Black Stallion’s combination of luxury, privacy, location, comfort and amenities. Whether you and your guests prefer to spend time with one another at home, gather for a round of golf at The Currituck Club golf course, or seek adventure with the many local activities, The Black Stallion is perfectly situated.
Even in the high season, The Black Stallion is a great value, with rates averaging less than $150 per guest per night (assuming double occupancy in each bedroom). We are currently accepting Reservations for all available weeks in 2024, and 2025.

“We have so many great things to say about our stay at The Black Stallion and the gracious caretakers of the property. The photos of the estate accurately portray it’s beauty and grandeur. Both kitchens and all bars are stocked with more than you could imagine or need. Every nook and cranny of this home has been thoughtfully considered and equally equipped both inside and out. All of the rooms are spacious and comfortable; all of our guests commented on how wonderful their stay was. The second floor fireplace proved the most beautiful backdrop for our daughter’s wedding ceremony and the first floor ballroom and bar comfortably accommodated 105 guest for a plated dinner and dancing. “I can’t even put into words how amazing our experience was with staying at The Black Stallion for our wedding weekend. Annette was truly amazing. She answered every question and gave us the guidance with connections and what not for our wedding needs. The house was absolutely stunning and fit perfectly for what we needed to have our reception. All that stayed with us and attended the wedding loved being there. We were able to use the Currituck Golf Club with recommendation from Annette for our ceremony, which was a breathtaking scenery and perfect distance from the house. To say it is in the best location is an understatement. We were near grocery store which helped for last min things, other eating places, ABC store, etc. The amenities available were so great. It truly is a one stop shop. I definitely recommend for your wedding needs and/or even a summer stay.”
“We had a new years eve wedding at the Black Stallion. The week was so Great. Annette was in constant contact and very helpful. To provide our guests with such and awesome place to stay where we were all together was so convenient. We did everything there, meet and greet, dinners, Wedding by the fireplace, reception/new years eve in the hall and bar. People who were there could not stop talking about how awesome it was. We were constantly watching people face time a friend or relative who were not there to show them the place. Every room has its own bathroom (huge +)and most have a balcony. All of our vendors were very familiar with the Black Stallion and everything went very smooth. My new bride and I would like to personally thank Annette, she was very helpful and made our destination wedding everything we hoped for.”
